About us

VOSS was set up  in 1999 and operated from a studio office in central Bristol but soon moved to larger premises in Redhill near Bristol airport where we spent the next 8 or 9 years. We now share office, assembly and warehouse distribution facilities with Britannic Garden Furniture near Thornbury, with who we have worked for the past 10 years.

Just four products were launched in 2000 - the Lb10, Bs20, Cs10 and Cs20 and our commitment to quality and good design has regulated the introduction of new products ever since. Today our whole range comprises only around 25 products but as society evolves we continue to introduce new designs such as the Lr10 recycling bin and the new Lc20 wall mounted cigarette bin.

From the start Voss has always been environmentally aware - its directors came from environmental and landscape design backgrounds and all materials used in Voss products are sustainable and recyclable. Most of the hardwood used is FSC certified but nowadays our focus is also on business efficiency. It is more efficient for us to share facilities at Alveston and our other specialist fabricators and suppliers are mostly local so no one has to travel all that far. We do not employ an army of sales people, in fact we don’t have any, so we are pleased to pass on the inherent value of each product directly to the customer.
